Pensions & Investments: AllianzGI picks Mercer veteran to build China fund management business

As reported by Pensions & Investments (P&I), an international newspaper of money management, Leo Shen joined Allianz Global Investors as head of fund management business, China, based in Hong Kong and that he was leader of Mercer’s China wealth and investment businesses.

P&I noted that the position is new, and he will lead AllianzGI's strategic efforts to set up an onshore fund management business in China, after which he will be responsible for managing the business. The news also mentioned Zheng Wang who joined from Mirae Asset Investment Management (Shanghai) in January as a Shanghai-based portfolio manager focusing on Chinese multi-asset investments.
